Google, Yahoo, YouTube February 17th, 2008

Youtube.com the famous video site which was over taken by Google sometime back has now risen above Google itseld in terms of its traffic rankings given by Alexa.

Yahoo.com is leading No.1 Position while YouTube is at second position,MSN Live.com is @ 3rd postion while Google.com is on 4th position.(according to ALEXA traffic ranking)

Traffic

While according to compete.com Google.com and Yahoo.com are far above the reach of Youtube.com traffic, we must also take into account that compete takes only US visitors into account.

compete

Does the Traffic spike for Youtube signify the time is ripe enough for Video Search Marketing rather than conventional searching techniques with a simple clean home page???

Google November 28th, 2007

Lucky

Does anyone know what is the most expensive part of the google homepage.

Its that I’m Feeling Lucky button, which sits on the google homepage , though half the users do not know why exactly its there.

firstly lets know what exactly the button does,

On Clicking the I’m Feeling Lucky button , one is transferred to the first result of the search by passing all the ads which appear from the search.

It costs the company around $110 million in annual revenue, according to Rapt’s Tom Chavez.

Google exec Marissa Mayer”It’s possible to become too dry, too corporate, too much about making money. I think what’s delightful about ‘I’m Feeling Lucky’ is that it reminds you there are real people here,”

Gadgets, Google November 4th, 2007

gPhone

Google is releasing Android which is the OS of its gPhone. This is supposedly             ” a complete mobile-phone software stack ” . A complete SDK is expected to be launched somewhere soon in the Future.

Its unclear when a gPhone or a Google Phone is expected to be released but its said that we cant expect anything like that in the near future.

Big players involved in the whole stuff include Japanese wireless carriers KDDI and NTT DoCoMo in what will be called the Open Handset Alliance. The rest of the more than 30 other companies involved reads like a who’s-who list of the mobile-computing industry, including Qualcomm, Broadcom, HTC, Intel, Samsung, Motorola, Sprint, and Texas Instruments.
