Demonoid the Famous Online BT Tracker which was pulled down some months back is now online and offering its full service to its users.It is still a private tracker and is based on invitations only.

Since a few months ago, Deimos, the site administrator, lacks the necessary time to take care of the website, because of personal matters he’s been needing to attend to. For this reason, he has decided to leave the site staff.

Before leaving, he assigned a new site administrator from among his friends to take care of the site. The old moderator team will continue helping with the site, unchanged. We will try to keep running everything just as it always has been.

The trackers and website seem to be working properly, and should any issues arise, they will be taken care of as soon as possible. The site might be going on and offline over the next days as we work out any problems.

In just a few days of being crowned as the internet’s second most famous site, A mistake done by a Pakistani ISP has taken the site down for almost around an hour.

YouTube in a press announcement

“For about two hours, traffic to YouTube was routed according to erroneous Internet Protocols,” said YouTube spokesperson Ricardo Reyes in a statement “Many users around the world could not access our site. We have determined that the source of these events was a network in Pakistan. We are investigating and working with others in the Internet community to prevent this from happening again.”

The events were like this:

1.Initially Pakistan Government had banned the YouTube Website until further notice on the pretext that it contians blasphemous(religiously offending) videos.

ISLAMABAD (AFP) - Pakistan has ordered all Internet service providers to block the YouTube website for containing “blasphemous” content and material considered offensive to Islam, officials said Sunday.

YouTube because it contained “blasphemous content, videos and documents,” a government official told AFP.

“The site will remain blocked till further orders,” he said.

Following this an ISP in Pakistan decided to route any requests to the YouTube site to another website which might show a restricted page,As a result of this , YouTube disappeared from the internet instead of just Pakistan.

Around 2:30 the Internet watch guards had alerted the Pakistan’s backbone service provider to stop the block and also adviced YouTube to take more granular routes so that the access would be restotred in the US.

The Present Situation PCCW shut down Pakistan from the Internet while appropriate action would be taken againist the Block by PieNet(a Pakistani ISP which had done this block).

Youtube.com the famous video site which was over taken by Google sometime back has now risen above Google itseld in terms of its traffic rankings given by Alexa.

Yahoo.com is leading No.1 Position while YouTube is at second position,MSN Live.com is @ 3rd postion while Google.com is on 4th position.(according to ALEXA traffic ranking)

While according to compete.com Google.com and Yahoo.com are far above the reach of Youtube.com traffic, we must also take into account that compete takes only US visitors into account.

Does the Traffic spike for Youtube signify the time is ripe enough for Video Search Marketing rather than conventional searching techniques with a simple clean home page???
